Bamberg Treasures
Take a virtual look into our treasure chamber! The Bamberg Treasures present selected manuscripts, rare printed books, fine art prints and drawings of the Bamberg State Library in thematic order. This resource is continuously expanded.
Current Offers
The Bamberg Treasures convey digital insights into the historic collections of the State Library. Excellent pictures in high resolution, enhanced with additional information and partly with transcribed full texts, allow for intensive studies of the items that have been digitized so far.
The quick search option offered on the start page can be used as an entry into searching. Through the advanced search option, a targeted search e.g. for provenance, type of binding or place of origin is possible. Search results can be sorted according to title, author, shelfmark and year of origin.
This offer is continuously developed; an RSS-feed conveniently informs users about the newest digital copies. In all projects, the State Library receives continuous support by the Head Office of the Bavarian Library Network.
