Numerous objects that have a connection to Bamberg, Franconia or Bavaria are already available in digital form via the Internet. Here you can find the access to three online portals with regional content.
The Bamberg Treasures are an online repository of the Bamberg State Library. They grant access to the historical collections of the library by subject and in selection and are being continuously expanded. The focus lies on Bamberg and Upper Franconia.
bavarikon is the portal for art, culture and regional studies of the Free State of Bavaria. It presents treasures of art, culture and knowledge from institutions in Bavaria in digital form, amongst them important holdings of the Bamberg State Library. A variety of objects from A to Z, such as everyday objects, paintings, maps and drawings, are assembled there.
The Bavarian Regional Library Online (Bayerische Landesbibliothek Online, short BLO) is the cultural scientific information portal of Bavaria and bundles a multitude of electronic resources about the history and culture of the Free State of Bavaria, which are provided by the projects partners. Partners are libraries (amongst them the Bamberg State Library), museums, archives, universities as well as research institutions and associations from all over Bavaria.
Please note: The Bavarian Regional Library Online will no longer be updated and will gradually be moved to bavarikon.
